When everything looks fine from the outside

You may keep a full calendar, answer every message, and show up prepared, while privately wondering whether you are overreacting about a partner, a parent, or an ex. Maybe you spend the drive home replaying a conversation, looking for what you did wrong.

That kind of strain is real, even when no one else can see it. Therapy is a place where you don't have to keep up appearances. You can say what has actually been happening, at your own pace, without having to prove anything to anyone.

Healing after narcissistic and emotional abuse

Repeated criticism, blame, mixed messages, or being told your memory is wrong can wear down your trust in yourself. Over time you might feel anxious before ordinary conversations, struggle to make small decisions, or feel pulled back toward someone who hurt you.

With Jami, you can make sense of those patterns, ease the self-blame, and practice boundaries that fit your real life, whether you have left the relationship or are still in contact. You don't need a label or a diagnosis for the other person to begin. Learn more about narcissistic abuse recovery therapy in Virginia.

Anxiety and depression get room too

Worry can show up as a mind that won't switch off at night, checking and rechecking, or bracing for the next difficult email. Low mood can look like feeling flat, tired, or far away from the things you used to enjoy. Sometimes these come after a painful relationship, and sometimes they have their own story. Jami treats anxiety and depression on their own or alongside abuse recovery, so you can bring whatever feels most pressing that week.

Private online sessions that fit a McLean week

All sessions take place by secure video. There is no McLean office and there are no in-person appointments, so there is no Beltway traffic or parking to plan around, and no waiting room where you might run into a neighbor. You only need a private spot with a steady connection, like a home office, a quiet bedroom, or a parked car somewhere safe and private.

Because Jami is licensed in Virginia, you need to be physically in Virginia during each session. McLean sits right across the Potomac from DC, so if you work in the District or in Maryland, plan to join from home or from somewhere else in Virginia, not from your office there.

Serving McLean and nearby communities

Online sessions are available to adults in McLean, Langley, and Tysons, and in nearby Great Falls, Vienna and Oakton, and Falls Church, as well as anywhere else in Virginia.

Fees

Sessions are $175 each, self-pay. If you have out-of-network benefits, Jami can give you a superbill to submit to your insurer; reimbursement depends on your plan. Jami is also in network with UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, and Aetna, and coverage varies by plan. You can ask about fees and insurance during your free consultation.
